“Feel Good Movie of The Year” Hahahahahahah!

Moral of the story....#BeKind

Joaquin Phoenix…BRILLIANT! Academy Award Best Actor

Dark look into the effects of neglecting to care for one and another. What happens when we hurt and exploit the weak and their blatant weaknesses AND do nothing to help! OFTEN many times hurting them very badly.

The tone and intentional slowness, the close ups, the quiet intense build throughout the film is intense.  Todd Phillips the director, killed it!

I don’t personally understand the worries surrounding the film, and can’t understand why people would feel “inspired” or “triggered”.

I do feel bad for Arthur Fleck, his life was hard and people around him were terrible.  None of it excuses his actions or makes him likable…that said the character of the Joker is a long known DC villain, who is loved!!!

Anthea (my wife), walked out hating it, but by the time we got home, it infected her brain and she really appreciated what the film spoke too.  Joker is a mirror of today’s broken society, set in the late 70’s early 80’s, hard to say, but incredibly set. Joker addresses mental illness, medication and therapy, amongst many other serious issues. NOT FOR KIDS.

Over all, I highly recommend checking out Joker.  Excellent entry to the DCU!
